When you think of the original Hobbit trilogy, you probably think of Bilbo Baggins and Frodo Baggins.
But what if you had the opportunity to revisit those films in a way that would let you relive those classic moments?
That’s what the first draft of the story for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was about.
And if it looks like the first drafts are being leaked, that’s not a surprise.
We have all heard the rumors and the stories about the first version of the screenplay, but that version didn’t feature Peter Jackson in it.
Jackson has always denied any involvement with the screenplay.
And now, it looks as though the two are working together again.
“There’s a new chapter in the history of the Hobbit, a new story told by the author,” Jackson told the Los Angeles Times.
“I have no involvement with that.”
It sounds like the new version will be called The Unexpected, and it’ll tell a much different story, one that features Bilbo and Frogo, a young girl named Isildur, and the death of their mother.
“We’ve had a long conversation about how to tell the story and I’ve been very pleased with the direction of the movie,” Jackson said.
“The thing I like about it is, the story will be told from the point of view of Isildr, the young girl, and I’m excited to show that.
She is the voice of the film.”
Isildra is the only character in the story who wasn’t named in the first edition of the script.
“She is a character that’s always very important to us, and that’s something that’s never really been addressed in the screenplay,” Jackson continued.
“So the new story is an important part of the storytelling.”
The film will be released in theaters in October 2018.
The Hobbit is based on J.R.
R Tolkien’s epic novel The Hobbit.
The movie was originally set for a 2018 release.
